Do you have your favourite places to go to for a quick day out? I do. And this is Lulworth Cove. It’s one of those places in Dorset that you have to visit. And I’m lucky enough to live only 30 mins away from that place 🙂
(If I could go to Santorini for a day or two, I would, but the world is in an odd place right now, isn’t it?)
Where is Lulworth Cove?
Before I flood you with pictures of this stunning place, a little practical info.
Lulworth Cove is on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, and a fairly equal distance from Poole from one side, and from Weymouth on the other.
There is plenty of parking space, though it’s worth remembering that the parking charges are a bit mad… £5 for 4 hours is the lowest charge there.
And why should I go there?
It’s a haven for anyone who loves massive open spaces, spectacular views, fossils! , and hiking. Or just sitting and listening to the crashing waves.
It’s also a fab place for sailors.
You will never be hungry there – there are enough restaurants in the area to feed the crowds. Though nowadays it may be better to pre-book a table in case any of the restaurants has guests number limits.
And kids have a ton of activities that they can get their hands busy with.
Last but not least, Lulworth Cove is a UNESCO World Heritage spot.
I go to Lulworth Cove every time I need a reset and I need to think about something. Or if I don’t want to think about something! The minute you see the breath-taking views your thoughts either just focus on the WOW that you are looking at, or you simply get a new perspective on a problem that has been harbouring your mind.
Ok, I’ve rambled on enough.
Now have a look why you should visit Lulworth Cove at least once in your life 🙂
