Life is an adventure. Such a cliched statement, isn’t it?
Isn’t life just a series of good or bad events that happen to us?
I guess some of us view it like this.
Quite some time ago, I chose to have a different perspective, and treat everything that happens in my wonderfully unpredictable life as an adventure. Good or bad stuff, exciting or daunting, scary or exhilarating – all of it can be an adventure.
I don’t know how many times a week I say “Seriously??!”, “Yay!”, or “No way!”. Whether it is my car broken down (again. Yes, I know, I need a newer car :)), or I remember how to say 5:55pm in Japanese (ask me!), or I have received another mentoring request (this is just Wow!). All of it is an adventure of its own. Attitude is everything, as I believe Keith Harrell said.
I’d love for you to join me on my adventures – big and small 🙂
It’s the start of 2024, and I have set myself on two specific adventures this year: learn as much Japanese as I can; and – brace yourself – do more cooking. I can see your surprised faces. I know I know. For those who don’t know, I don’t cook – I find it excruciatingly boring. I can! I just don’t do it. And I have a feeling that learning Japanese will be more successful than the cooking … But let’s see.
So, come and join me 🙂 We’ll explore the world, discover and re-discover what brings smile or tears to our faces, and you can cheer me on my quite possibly fairly disappointing cooking attempts 🙂
