I decided to explore a different area this weekend, and headed to a small village between Christchurch and Southampton called Barton on Sea.
Because I like open spaces, I look out for places that offer that. Lulworth Cove is my favourite place of all!

What I liked about this place is that it was not as crowded as Lulworth tends to be. This meant that I could just take in the views, and relax. We like that, don’t we? 🙂 You can walk for miles down the beach. All the doggies I passed clearly enjoyed their walkies there too!
What wasn’t too nice on the day I visited Barton on Sea was the fact that it was madly windy. I honestly thought all my hair would fly away!
So what do when the weather is a bit mad? How about grabbing a lunch in one of the seaside restaurants?
I went to Pebble Beach Restaurant and it was an excellent choice 🙂 I ordered a Prawn Linguine, a starter portion as I’m not a fan of big portions, and it was simply perfect. The staff in the restaurant was lovely, professional yet friendly. Make sure you book your table in advance though!
If you like such quaint villages without many people around, then Barton on Sea is your place to go. Just maybe check for the wind conditions first 🙂
